Candlelight Holiday Special

December 19th to 22nd

Kids Christmas Cookie Class by Red Deer Food Bank Society

December 12 & 13

Support our local food bank while teaching kids how to bake and decorate Christmas cookies. The Kids Christmas Cookie Class costs $25 per child and includes all necessary ingredients and materials. Kids will be grouped by age: 6-8, 9-11, and 12-14. While you’re there, consider bringing some non-perishable food items to donate. Let’s help our neighbors during the holidays!

Floral Workshops at Calyx

December 15-21

Our incredible local florists at Calyx are fully committed to the holiday season! They’re offering in-person workshops to create outdoor wreaths, Whoville trees, festive centerpieces, and European miniature Christmas trees. Spots are limited, so get in touch ASAP to book a session with friends, family, or colleagues. The women at Cinch have already made their wreaths—now it’s your turn!

Join in the fun at the Dawe Branch from December 1 to 23. The Elf on the Library Shelf is back! Every day, there are prizes available in our Book Advent Calendar for anyone who spots him in the Dawe Branch and enters the draw.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the City's efforts! December is packed with activities and events. Start with a stroll in City Hall Park after dark (around 4:30 PM) to enjoy the stunning light display. Every tree, post, and archway is beautifully draped with bright lights to bring cheer and joy during this cold winter. We truly appreciate the effort put into making our city festive!

For those eager to see Santa Claus this Christmas, Santa’s Bus Tour is coming to your neighborhood on December 13th and 14th between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Check out the bus route to ensure you don't miss him! Kids can also visit St. Nick during his regular hours at Bower Mall.
