Cinch Communications Inc., a dynamic and growing advertising agency based in Red Deer, Alberta. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to join our talented team. We’re passionate about helping our clients build strong brands through engaging and effective communication, and we’re looking for someone who shares this enthusiasm.


About the Role

As a Social Media Specialist, you’ll be the wizard behind the screen, conjuring up creative content that makes our clients shine online. From designing eye-catching graphics to crafting posts that people just have to like and share, you’ll keep audiences hooked and coming back for more. What You’ll Be Doing:

The key job tasks for a Social Media Content Creator typically include the following:


Content Creation and Strategy

  • Developing Content Plans: Planning and creating a content calendar that aligns with the brand’s objectives and promotional strategies.

  • Content Writing: Crafting engaging and compelling copy for posts, captions, and stories that reflect the brand’s voice and resonate with the target audience.

  • Graphic and Video Design: Creating visually appealing graphics, videos, GIFs, and other multimedia content using design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.


Platform Management

  • Publishing Content: Scheduling and posting content on various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).

  • Community Engagement: Monitoring comments, messages, and mentions and responding promptly to build relationships with the audience.

  • Trend Monitoring: Staying updated on platform-specific trends, hashtags, and tools to leverage opportunities for growth.


Analytics and Reporting

  • Performance Tracking: Analysing metrics such as likes, shares, reach, engagement rates, and conversion rates to evaluate content performance.

  • Adjusting Strategies: Using insights from analytics to refine and improve content and strategy.

  • Reporting: Compiling reports on social media performance for internal use or client presentations.


Collaboration

  • Working with Teams: Coordinating with marketing, sales, or creative teams to align social media efforts with broader campaigns and objectives.

  • Client Communication: Collaborating with clients to understand their goals, provide updates, and incorporate feedback into content strategies.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Influencer Outreach: Building relationships with influencers or other partners to amplify the brand’s reach.

  • Social Media Advertising: Setting up and managing paid campaigns on platforms like Facebook Ads Manager.

  • Platform Knowledge: Staying informed about algorithm changes, new features, and emerging platforms to keep the brand competitive.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

We Work as a Team:

At Cinch Communications, we are a close and collaborative team. This means you will have to be comfortable working in an open space with other content creators and other teams. If you are considering applying, we hope you are a creative and proactive individual with a passion for storytelling through social media. It would be essential for you to have strong writing, editing, and graphic design skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Because working for an agency means serving clients, it is imperative that you demonstrate professionalism and the ability to manage client relationships. Lastly, experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva, or similar platforms is essential.
